May 3 through May 9, 2012

I have to say, seeing the little grape leaves on the vines is making me feel better.  After the report that 90% of the grapes were lost this past month due to frost, it warms my heart knowing there are still some out there, hopefully thriving!  There are so many "dormant" grape vines without leaves that seeing the few and far between green leaves is hopeful! I did read that the majority of the grape loss was juice grapes, and not wine grapes...

However, spring has definitely sprung in Southwest Michigan, as evidenced by all of the green trees and the fruit trees with their early flowers, and stands selling Asparagus!  And, I'm sure that Silver Beach will be opening soon, and all of the sand will be moved to it's proper place!

The Summer Camp list is growing and growing.  Take a look below if you are trying to find fun and entertaining activities for your young ones this summer.

There is a lot going on this first weekend in May, so get out there and have fun!  Remember, if you attend any of the events listed below, please let me know!  Also, if you know of any events that are coming up, also let me know, so I can include them here!  Have a great week, everyone!  Also, I have tried to organize this list to make it a little easier on everyone, when looking for something for your family:
  • Family Fun!
  • Classes for kids!
  • Fun for parents! (Leave the kids at home!)
